Barbara Nelson passed away on August 3, 2006.
She was a friend to many, Chair of The Clan Mackay Society, USA's Scholarship Committee, and Commissioner for Alabama. Since 1995, she commissioned the Montgomery games.
She was also on the committee that instituted our scholarship fund in 2002.

Barbara fought a brave, ten year battle with various forms of cancer before succumbing. Her parents predeceased her. She left no immediate family.

She grew up in Michigan, where she graduated from Carson City High School.

In 1978, she joined Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama, where she achieved the post of Chair of the Acquisitions Department at Auburn University Libraries which she held at her death.

The Auburn University Libraries, Auburn Alabama.

There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, August 8 at 5:00 PM at The First Presbyterian Church, Auburn Alabama.
